The social butterflies are definitely having it easier when it comes to socializing and doing things in public. Giving public speeches, making friends, and basically not being that ‘weird, quiet kid that sits in the corner’ is easier for them. Yet the introverts often suffer heavily from this.
We love our small circles where we have only a select few friends we talk to. It’s also fun to be drowning in our own world while read and do things alone. It doesn’t mean we’re lonely at all, nor do we like it when people make assumptions about our silence. We are just socially awkward.
Yes, we can talk. But we don’t appreciate it when you point out our quietness because it’s not going to automatically makes us chatty.
