Ksenia Kisavna had always loved hairstyling and coloring since she was young. They soon became her passion and she focuses on coloring. The self-taught artist often experimented on her family and friends. Later, she helped with coloring models’ hair and gained experienced there.
Ombré, is a coloring technique that basically creates a lighter hue from dark hue that starts from the roots. It was first popularized back in 2000 by singer Aaliyah, but the trend did not become even more widespread until around post-2010. By 2017, many hairstylists have came up with different coloring techniques that inspired Ksenia.
The hair is like a canvas to the skillful artist – she loves using bright colors. She shares that ‘impressionism’ is her favorite art genre and it influences her style. From there, she often experiments to create not just gorgeous shades, but also give them dimensions and depths in ways that were never seen done on hair before.
Whether it’s Balayage or Ombré, Ksenia practices them both to achieve the results she wants. She does works with mono-colors, but her most popping results are always the ones in multicolor-gradients that seemed to have layers upon layers on them.
