Grande got her first music-related gig at a musical theater. She performed at the Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theater and was the lead in “Annie.” She was also at the Broadway musical “13.”

Grande’s grandfather read her name as ‘Grand-ee’ and that’s how she remembered she grew up. She shared, “My brother was like, we should say ‘Gran-day.’ It’s so fun to say it. I grew up saying ‘Grand-ee’ and I think of my grandpa and I wish I said ‘Grand-ee’ more.'”

Grande tweeted in 2013 that she was going 100% vegan with a “macrobiotic Japanese” diet according to her trainer, Harley Pasternak.

She was raised Catholic, then feels the most connection with Kabbalah.

The star shared in 2014 how she and her brother went to check a Kabbalah center in Florida and “really had a connection with it.” She continued, “And since then my life has unfolded in a really beautiful way, and I think that it has a lot to do with the tools I’ve learned through Kabbalah, I really do.”
